Terms & Conditions
Effective date: October 6, 2026
These terms cover how we quote, schedule, and stand behind our roofing work. The short version: honest estimates, quality work, and a warranty we honor.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern the roofing services provided by TopShield Roofing (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the customer. By requesting an inspection, accepting an estimate, or allowing work to proceed, you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, please call us before work begins.
2. Estimates and inspections
Roof inspections and written estimates are free and provided without obligation. An estimate is based on the condition of the roof at the time of inspection and remains valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Hidden damage discovered once work is underway (for example, deteriorated decking beneath shingles) may require a revised estimate, which we will always discuss with you before continuing.
3. Scheduling and access
We schedule work around weather and material availability, and we will confirm dates with you in advance. You agree to provide safe access to the work area, including driveways, exterior electrical outlets, and water where needed. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, supplier shortages, or events beyond our reasonable control.
4. Payment
Payment terms are stated on your estimate or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit may be required before materials are ordered, with the balance due on completion of the work. We accept the payment methods listed on your invoice. Late payments may accrue interest as permitted by applicable law.
5. Workmanship warranty
We provide a 5-year workmanship warranty on completed installations and repairs. This warranty covers issues resulting from our installation work, such as improper flashing or shingle placement. It does not cover storm damage, ordinary wear and tear, structural movement, or work performed by others. Manufacturer material warranties vary by product; we will explain the applicable terms before work begins.
6. Insurance claims
Where storm damage is involved, we can document findings with photographs and supply an estimate to support your insurance claim. The decision to approve, deny, or partially cover a claim rests entirely with your insurer, and we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
7. Property and cleanup
We treat your home with care: tarps and protective coverings are used during work, and we perform a thorough cleanup including a magnet sweep for nails. While we take precautions, roofing is exterior construction and minor disturbance to landscaping near the work area can occur. Please remove fragile items from walls and shelves before work begins, as vibration may affect them.
8. Liability
We carry liability insurance and all work is performed by trained crews. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant services. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use of the property during repairs.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel a scheduled inspection at any time by calling us. Once materials have been ordered or work has started, cancellations may be subject to charges for materials and labor already incurred, which we will document for you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version published on this page applies to services requested after its effective date. Questions? Call us and we will walk you through it.
